COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) has released the third edition of its 2026 Women's Lacrosse Players of the Week, and Regis University's Brigit Goetsch has been named the Defensive Player of the Week.
It is Goetsch's second straight Defensive Player of the Week award, and she is joined by Offensive Player of the Week, Charlotte Fannin of UCCS
Goetsch went 1-1 in the goal this week, as the grad from Maple Grove, Minn. continues to rank among the nation's leaders in saves and saves per game. Against #2 Florida Southern, Goetsch collected 11 saves while picking up two ground balls. Regis then rebounded with a 14-6 win over Northern Michigan, where Goetsch saved 15 more shots, allowing just six goals. Additionally, she picked up two more ground balls and forced one turnover.
On the year, she has 59 saves (14.75/game), a 52.7 save %, and a 2-2 record.
Goetsch and the Rangers take on Maryville Univeristy (Mo.) and #3 UIndy (Ind.) at home this week.
