COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference released the week three players of the week this morning for women's soccer with Fernanda Rodriguez being recognized as the offensive player selection.
Rodriguez is the first Ranger to earn a player of the week award this season while also being the last player to earn it for the program on Oct. 7, 2025.
She was named this week's pick after a dominant showing on pitch this past weekend scoring a staggering five goals in a pair of home victories.
Rodriguez recorded her first hat trick of the season in a 3-0 win over Saint Martin's to start her week before then scoring two more times against University of Nebraska – Kearney in a 4-0 victory.
She now has 10 points and five goals this season to lead the team while sitting top five in the RMAC for shots, shots on goal, goals and points.
In addition, this is the second hat trick of her Regis career with her last completing this feat against Emporia State on Sept. 19, 2025.
Joining Rodriguez as the other players of the week were Malia Groshong from UCCS for the defensive player selection and Trinity Lujan from Fort Lewis College as the goalkeeper.
