Box Score KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The No. 18 ranked Regis University women's lacrosse team (4-0, 1-0 RMAC) earned a commanding 20-4 victory over the Rockhurst University Hawks (2-4, 0-1 RMAC) on Friday afternoon.

Leading the Rangers on the day was redshirt-senior
Erin Todd and freshman
Ali Vanek combining for ten of RU's 20 goals. Todd and Vanek each notched five goals on six shots apiece. Todd also contributed heavily on the defensive side of the ball recording a team-high three caused turnovers and a ground ball.

Senior
Erin Steiner added three goals of her own on five shots and an assist while chipping in with three draw controls and two ground balls. Sophomores
Wendy Donier and
Sarah Myres each tallied four assists.

Freshman Court Houston earned the decision marking her second-straight win. Houston started the match and recorded 30 minutes of action in goal while making two saves on ten shots faced. Junior
Kenley Harrington subbed in for the second half of action and made three saves on seven shots faced without allowing a goal.

How It Happened:Â Regis got on the board first as junior
Jada Bonner put her shot in the back of the net to take a 1-0 lead 42 seconds into the game. Two goals apiece from Steiner and
Erin Todd gave the Rangers a 6-2 lead with 14:28 left in the first half.

At halftime the Rangers had built up a dominating 13-4 lead over Rockhurst with Todd notching all five of her goals in the first half.
The second half saw RU extend their lead, while also locking down the Hawks offense holding the home team scoreless throughout the entirety of the half.

Rangers finished the game on an 11-0 run, spanning 33:25 from the first half to the end of the second half. Regis could not be slowed down cruising to their first Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference victory this season and improving to an overall mark of 4-0.

Game Notes: RU controlled every aspect of this match outshooting the Hawks 31-17. The Rangers found success on both sides of the field holding Rockhurst to turn just 9-of-20 clear attempts while forcing 22 turnovers led by Todd and senior
Anna Takushi with three apiece. Of the 22 forced turnovers, Regis tallied 17 ground balls, led by Takushi and Donier each with three. The Rangers were 8-of-10 on clear attempts and captured 17 draw controls to the Hawks nine allowing them to possess control throughout the length of the game. Bonner led RU with four draw controls.
