Men's Soccer Picked Fourth in Preseason Poll, Four Rangers Headline Preseason All-RMAC Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference has released its 2025 Men's Soccer Preseason Coaches Poll and Preseason All-RMAC Team. The Rangers were picked fourth in the poll, and led the league with four players on the Preseason All-RMAC Squad.

Regis received 79 points in the poll, including two second-place votes, and two third-place votes. Forward Elias Taubo, midfielders Jacobo Betancourt-Tovar and Ignacio Bellina, and defender Julian Fally return from the 2024 squad that finished second in the RMAC last year without a conference loss.

University of Colorado Colorado Springs edged out Fort Lewis College for first with 94 points (six first-place votes) against 92 for FLC (two first-place votes).

Defending RMAC Champions CSU-Pueblo took third place, beating out the Rangers by one point (80 points, two first-place votes).

Colorado School of Mines leads the midfield pack in fifth place with 57 points, followed closely by Metropolitan State University of Denver in sixth place with 55 points. Colorado Mesa University is seventh at 47 points, followed by eighth-place pick Westminster with 42 points. Colorado Christian University, South Dakota Mines, and Adams State University round out the 11-team poll.

Taubo, Betancourt-Tovar, and Rory Scott (UCCS), along with Fort Lewis midfielder David Citron, are the four returning First Team All-RMAC selections named to the preseason team, and they were joined by five Second Team All-RMAC picks. The Preseason All-RMAC Team is determined by placing returning players in order of head coaches' voting from the league's 2024 All-RMAC Teams.

The RMAC's 11 men's soccer teams are looking to finish 2025 at Weidner Field in Colorado Springs, the host of the 2025 NCAA Division II Men's & Women's Soccer Championships. The men's championship sees the national semifinals played on Friday, Dec. 12 followed by the national championship on Saturday, Dec. 14. Ticket information for the national championship will be available at NCAA.com at a later date.
