KANSAS City, Mo. – The Regis University Men's Soccer team are receiving votes in the Sixth United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll, released Tuesday afternoon.
The Rangers were ranked #24 in last week's vote, peaked at #17 in the Week 3 vote, and have been at least receiving votes in every regular season poll.
RU continued the toughest schedule in the nation last week, adding two more ranked matches to their slate with road matches at #8 CSU Pueblo (now #7) and #14 UCCS (#23).
Regis tied the ThunderWolves, 1-1 on Friday night. Jan Grillitsch scored the tying goal in the 87th minute off an assist from Abram Wilson. It was just the fifth goal conceded by Pueblo on the season. On Sunday, the Mountain Lions defeated the Rangers with a goal right before the 80-minute mark, securing their 1-0 win. RU outshot UCCS 19 (7) to 5 (2).
This weekend sees two home matches for RU, hosting a pair of Denver metro foes in Colorado Christian on Thursday at 6 pm, and MSU Denver at 12 on Sunday.
