KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches have released their fifth Men's Soccer Top 25 Coaches Poll, and Regis has moved to #24.
The Rangers were #20 in last week's poll, peaked at #17 in the Week 3 vote, and have been ranked in every regular season release.
RU played one match last week, a 2-1 victory over South Dakota Mines in their RMAC opener. Liam Corr assisted both scores in the match, while Michael Ajagbe added to his team-leading total of four goals. Francisco Ruiz earned his first career assist, while Adam Thresher scored his first collegiate goal, which would be the game-winner.
Regis has played the toughest schedule in the nation, with six of their eight matches coming against ranked opponents. That streak took a one-match hiatus against SDM, and continues this week with battles at #8 CSU-Pueblo on Friday at 6 pm, and at #14 UCCS on Sunday at 1 pm. RU lost to UCCS in their non-conference finale on September 20, 2-1, in a match that Regis led for over 70 minutes.
