DENVER, Colo. – The Regis University Baseball team opened their series with Colorado Christian University on Thursday afternoon, securing a 12-5 win in the first game but would fall 20-3 in the second. The Rangers improve to 14-22-1 (5-13-1 RMAC), while the Cougars fall to 14-23 (11-12 RMAC).
GAME ONE
Colorado Mines opened the inning hot, scoring two runs off one hit and a Regis error. The Rangers answered with a single from the lead off Linus Fleek. Jack Moulin batted in Fleek with a double tying the game 1-1. Bobo Iandoli would keep things going with a single to center field bringing in two more runs. Mason Grube would advance Ayden Harrison and Iandoli off a double to center field, giving RU a 5-1 lead.
It would be a quick second inning for CSM scoring zero hits off zero runs. Harrison would bring in Fleek off a sacrifice fly out, and Iandoli would record another RBI advancing Wood. Mines would score another run in the third off two hits. Two errors would bring Grube to second, and a double from Wood would advance Grube and Fleek. Harrison would advance Wood and score himself off an in-the-park home run thanks to a CSM error.
Mines would finish the fourth scoring another run off two hits. Iandoli would get his third hit of the day with a single to left field, but the Rangers would finish the inning runless. CSM would bring in another run off two singles but finished the inning leaving two on base. The Rangers would finish the fifth scoreless.
Colorado Mines would record two more hits but finish the sixth scoreless. Grayson Hedrick opened the sixth with a single, later reaching third off two stolen bases. Grube would bring in Hedrick off a sacrifice bunt and bring the lead to 12-5. The Rangers would secure the win with two strike outs and a ground out from CSM.
GAME NOTES
Iandoli went 3-3 with 3 RBIs.
Moulin went 2-3, scoring one run.
Harrison hit an in the park homerun.
Headrick stole two bases.

GAME TWO
In the second game, Regis looked to build early momentum in the bottom of the first as Fleek singled through the left side, but the Rangers were unable to capitalize and left her stranded. Colorado School of Mines broke the game open in the second inning, plating eight runs on five hits while leaving three runners on base. Regis threatened in the bottom half of the inning with singles from Iandoli and Arnold but could not push a run across.
Mines continued its offensive surge in the third, adding three more runs to extend the lead to 11-0, and tacked on another in the fourth. The Orediggers kept the pressure on in the fifth, scoring two additional runs. Regis responded in the bottom of the fifth, as Smith led off with a double to left center. Fleek followed with a two-run home run over the left field fence, cutting into the deficit at 14-2.
In the sixth inning, Arnold singled through the right side, while Fleek and Grayson Headrick were both hit by pitches to load the bases. However, the Rangers were unable to convert the opportunity into runs.
Colorado School of Mines added five more runs to the top of the seventh. In the bottom of the seventh the Rangers would bring in one more run but would fall 20-3.
GAME NOTES
Fleek hit his second home run of the season, going 2-2 at the plate, with 2 RBIs.
Arnold would go 2-4 at bat.
There were 12 total players hit by pitches.
Ryan Garcia would take the loss for RU now sitting at 1-4.
Kay Jackson took the win (3-1).
